Frequently Asked Questions

Products & Materials

What materials are your rugs made from?

Our rugs are crafted from a variety of premium materials including soft polyester, heat-set polypropylene, viscose, and polypropylene blends. Backing materials include jute, cotton, and polypropylene depending on the collection. Each product page lists the exact materials for that rug.

What pile heights are available?

Pile heights across our collections range from approximately 5mm (flatweave/indoor-outdoor) up to 20mm for plush, high-pile styles. Total thickness including backing typically adds 1–2mm. You'll find the exact pile height and thickness on each product listing.

Do your rugs shed?

Most of our rugs are shed-resistant and anti-static. Some initial light shedding may occur with new rugs — this is normal and will reduce with regular gentle vacuuming.

Are any of your rugs suitable for outdoor use?

Yes! Our Alfresco Collection is specifically designed for indoor/outdoor use. These flatweave rugs feature a water-resistant polypropylene construction and all-side binding. We recommend placing outdoor rugs only under covered areas to extend their lifespan.

Do you offer round rugs and hallway runners?

Yes, we carry area rugs in rectangle, round, and hallway runner shapes across multiple collections. Use the filters on our shop page to find your preferred shape and size.

Sizing & Choosing the Right Rug

How do I choose the right rug size?

As a general guide: for a living room, choose a rug large enough for all front legs of your furniture to sit on it. For a dining room, ensure the rug extends at least 60cm beyond the table on all sides so chairs remain on the rug when pulled out. For a bedroom, a rug that extends 50–60cm beyond the sides and foot of the bed works well.

What sizes do your rugs come in?

We offer a wide range of sizes across our collections. Available sizes are listed on each individual product page. If you need help finding a specific size, feel free to contact us.

Care & Maintenance

How do I clean my rug?

For regular maintenance, vacuum your rug using a gentle, low-suction setting. Avoid using a rotating brush head or beater bar, as these can damage the fibres. For spills, blot immediately with a clean cloth — do not rub. Spot clean with a mild detergent and cold water. Professional cleaning is recommended for a deep clean.

Can I use a steam cleaner on my rug?

We do not recommend steam cleaning for most of our rugs, as heat and moisture can damage the fibres and backing. Please check the care instructions on your specific product page.

Should I keep my rug out of direct sunlight?

Yes. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and fibre degradation over time. We recommend rotating your rug annually to ensure even wear and colour retention.

Do I need a rug underlay/pad?

A rug pad is highly recommended. It prevents slipping, protects your flooring, adds cushioning underfoot, and extends the life of your rug. Rug pads are available separately.

Orders & Shipping
